An exciting opportunity is now available for a highly motivated individual to join the marketing and communications team of one of Australia’s major theatre companies.
State Theatre Company South Australia seeks a dedicated Publicist to join the marketing and communications team.
The Publicist works closely with the Company’s Marketing Manager to develop and lead the media campaigns for the Company, to promote its annual program of plays and touring as well as managing the Company’s excellent public image. The Publicist is the primary point of contact for all media enquiries and strives to maintain a continued positive presence within the local and national community and media. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, in particular negotiating, writing, editing and proofing, with excellent attention to detail and sound networks. The role is suited to a highly organised, experienced communications specialist who is passionate about the performing arts and its capacity to transform lives. Candidates with bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications or marketing will be highly regarded.
This is a full-time position offered initially as a two-year contract. Immediate start is desirable but can be negotiated with the right candidate.
