2022 Season Frequently Asked Questions

Subscriptions

  • A subscription is a pre-purchased package of 4 to 8 plays from our 2022 Season. It’s the cheapest way of purchasing tickets, you get priority access to the best seats in the house, plus you also get added benefits.

  • Value for money! You’ll save up to 22% on most single tickets when you subscribe, and in 2022, you’ll save up to 30% on Girls & Boys and up to 50% on Girl From The North Country.

We only charge one transaction fee of $8.95 per subscriber, rather than a fee per ticket. And new in 2022, subscribers receive one free exchange for each show in a subscription package, in case your plans change!

Subscriptions are now on sale, so subscribers receive priority access to the best seats in the house, before single tickets go on sale 6 December 2021.

Subscribers also receive bonuses like behind the scenes information, exclusive event invitations and discounts. Visit the subscriptions page for the full list of benefits.

  • The easiest way is to subscribe online.

You can also complete a booking form (either in the back of our brochure, or download a print file here), scan and email to subscriptions@statetheatrecompany.com.au.

Send your completed form via post:

  • To make your subscription booking process as simple as possible, our system automatically assigns you the best available seats for each show in your subscription. If you purchase multiple seats, you will automatically be assigned seats next to each other.

You will see your assigned seat numbers at the end of the booking path. However, should you have any special requests, you can add them in the seating request notes (click here for instructions on how to find the seating request section on your booking form) or email us at subscriptions@statetheatrecompany.com.au with your booking number and seating request information.

  • We know that flexibility is more important than ever for ticket buyers, which is why we now offer one free exchange per show in your subscription package. This provides all subscribers the confidence to lock in your shows now, even if your plans change later in the year, or purchase a subscription as a gift!

  • Subscribers have one free exchange per show in their subscription. Subsequent exchanges will attract a processing fee. Exchanges can only be made for different performance dates and times, exchanges from one production to another are not permitted.
