A Date With State

Supported by SA Health’s Office for Ageing Well, our new A Date With State program aims to support older and socially isolated patrons to continue to attend the theatre despite life changes, such as the loss of a partner or new living circumstances.

A Date With State officially launches with Season 2021 and we’ve selected five matinee performances for the program (see below). For the price of your show ticket, you’ll be invited to join State Theatre Company South Australia for hospitality and live entertainment. You’ll have the chance to meet our creatives and staff, as well as chat with other like-minded theatre-lovers.

To book for A Date With State, please use the booking links in the list below. These will take you through to dedicated booking page for your chosen A Date With State performance. Please complete the booking as you normally would; no promotion code is needed.

You may notice that there are only a limited selection of seats to choose from through these links (with the exception of The Appleton Ladies’ Potato Race). This is because we have grouped seats together for those attending as part of A Date With State. If you have a different seating requirement, please contact us using the details below.

Information about the hospitality and live entertainment will be provided via email closer to the date of each performance.

If you have already booked tickets to these shows or performances and would like to register your interest in participating in A Date With State, please email us using the contact details below. You can also contact us if you have any questions about booking for multiple performances.

Please note: Places for each performance are strictly limited to book quickly to secure your seat. If tickets are showing as ‘sold out’, please contact us using the details below to indicate your interest.

If you have any questions, please let us know via email at development@statetheatrecompany.com.au or call 08 8415 5333.

  • Our audience has told us about the importance of staying active and engaged with the arts over the years. We know that as the years pass or when circumstances change, it can be difficult to keep doing the things you love, like attending the theatre.

At State Theatre Company South Australia, we believe that theatre is for everybody – and a lifestyle change or the loss of a loved one shouldn’t stop you from continuing to do the things that bring you joy. That’s why we created A Date With State, a brand new program unique to South Australia, supported by Office for Ageing Well, SA Health.

To find out more about the program, please fill in the form below or call us on 08 8415 5333.
