Get the story behind the story

Our Tangent Talks, supported by State Library South Australia, bring our artists and audience together to share the big ideas driving the creation of our work. We gather the brightest, must-hear voices from the creative, academic and political worlds to open out the themes of the play.

In 2024 we will dive into big ideas and important issues including optimism in an imperilled world, female education and Anglo-Australian literary legacies.

Dates for 2024 Tangent Talks are:
Candide – Monday 29 April
Julia – Monday 15 July
Jack Maggs – Monday 28 October

Tickets are just $10 and include a glass of wine. Doors open at 5.30pm and the talk will begin at 6pm.

Talks are held at:
Hetzel Lecture Theatre
Institute Building, State Library of South Australia
North Terrace, Adelaide 5000
