Welcome to Your New Life Pre Show Information

We look forward to welcoming you to the Space Theatre for Welcome to Your New Life by Anna Goldsworthy, presented by State Theatre Company South Australia.

The performance run time is approx. 2 hours including an interval.

Your Tickets: 

Depending on your ticket delivery selection at the time of purchase, your tickets will have been sent via email or post, or will be ready to collect at the venue box office.

If you received a ticket via email as a PDF attachment, this can be printed or displayed on your mobile device at the venue. If you cannot find the email, please contact us at tickets@statetheatrecompany.com.au (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm), or speak to the venue box office from one hour before the performance.

Ticketek Ticket Holders: Depending on your ticket delivery selection at the time of purchase, your tickets will have been sent via mobile or email, or will be ready to collect at the venue box office.

Box Office CollectionIf you arranged to collect your tickets at the venue box office, please head to the Dunstan Playhouse box office desk to collect your tickets before your performance (the box office will be open from one hour before the performance time).

The venue box office can also assist with any last minute ticket enquiries or lost tickets.


Show Information: 

The performance run time is approximately 2 hours including a 20 minute interval.

We recommend you arrive at least 15 minutes before your performance start time to ensure you have time to locate your seat.


Content: 

Recommended for ages 16+.

Contains adult themes, some coarse language, and references to parenting and child birth trauma. This show features haze and strobe lighting effects.

Venue Information: 

This production is being held at the Space Theatre, Adelaide Festival Centre.

If travelling by car, we highly recommend parking at the Adelaide Convention Centre’s Riverbank Car Park (via Montefiore Road) for easy access to the Space Theatre.

COVID Safe Behaviour: 

Do not come to the theatre if you have tested positive for COVID-19 or have any cold or flu symptoms. Thank you for helping us keep artists, staff, and patrons safe.

Face masks are not mandatory, but we strongly recommend you wear one as you will be close to other patrons.

Baby-Friendly Performance

State Theatre Company South Australia are pleased to offer this special ‘Babes in Arms’ Baby Friendly performance at 11am on Thursday 16 November, where parents are invited to attend the show with their babies in-arms. Special accommodations include:

Dimmed house lighting: “house lights” refer to the lights which illuminate the auditorium. These are normally turned off during a performance, but for this performance they will only be dimmed.

No lockouts: during this performance, audience members will be free to get up, leave, and return to your seats as frequently as needed throughout the performance. Venue staff will be on hand to assist with movement. We ask that you please be mindful of other patrons when leaving and returning to your seat.

Pram storage: prams, capsules and other accessories will need to stored in the Space Theatre foyer, before entering the auditorium. Please follow the instructions of venue staff on arrival.

5.30pm Vision Impaired Pre-Show Briefing

6.30pm Audio Described Performance

As part of this audio described performance, a pre-show briefing will be held on-site one hour before the show.

The briefing allows vision impaired patrons to take a tactile tour of the show with an opportunity to walk around and get a sense of the set. Participants also meet the performers and hear the voices they will be using for their characters.

Please meet in the foyer of the Space Theatre an hour before the show is due to begin.

 

A Date with State

The matinee performance at 11am on Wednesday 22 November is part of our A Date with State program, supported by SA Health’s Office for Ageing Well, which supports older and socially isolated patrons to continue to attend the theatre despite life changes.

Get to know your fellow theatre-goers and join us for a pre-show tea and coffee before the performance and a post-show Q&A.
